Xiaomi is a newly entered, one of the top brand in the Laptop space, but it’s most popular in smartphone and TV markets all over India. that means Xiaomi isn’t a new name.
Brand quality and trust are important factors if we have to spend large amounts of money. Of course, Xiaomi Mi is best known for offering great value in the entry-level space, and it will be interesting to see how mi notebook 14 fulfills the expectation in a laptop segment.
The Mi Laptops provides impressive design elements and features, but it is still a slim and light laptop. Xiaomi claims that notebook 14 is the best laptop for students in India under 50000 mi entered in a highly competitive segment and they have to fend off giant players such as Dell, HP, Lenovo, Acer, and Asus.
Xiaomi Mi Notebook 14 inch laptop design
the Mi Notebook is quite modern and attractive. It comes with a metal body with an anodized exterior. The overall look is fairly Premium and unassuming. There’s really nothing to see outside like Apple devices other than the ports on the left and right sides. vents are on the bottom side and hot air is exhausted space at the back of the hinge.
LAPTOP has a total of 1.5 kg weight & the thickness is just 18mm so this laptop is very easy to carry in the office & college every day.
you could notice a relatively thick space below the screen and some blank space around it. This is the main differentiator between the Mi Notebook 14 and the Horizon Edition laptops, which boast slim borders. Even there is enough space on the top for a webcam.
its keyboard deck is also made with metal. The arrow keys are packed into a single row. but there are not any problems with the layout Overall, it seems that Xiaomi put hard efforts into the design job
Xiaomi Mi Notebook 14 Review
There are THREE types of variants of the Mi Notebook, all of them come with quad-core 10th Gen ‘Comet Lake’ Intel Core i5-10210U processor. This best student laptop in India comes with features of integrated Intel UHD Graphics & a CPU that has to boost speeds of 1.6GHz and 4.2GHz respectively. All of these three versions have 8GB of DDR4-2666 RAM which can’t be upgradable.
this is not similar to top-end Horizon Edition, we don’t have CPU choice. This laptop also comes with used SATA M.2 SSDs for this model.
The port is also limited as compared to the Horizon Edition but at this price range, it’s OK. one little bit issue we found that this notebook 14 does not come with a USB C port.
There are two types of USB ports first is 3.1 (Gen1) Type-A ports & the second is a USB 2.0 port, an HDMI 1.4b video output, a DC power inlet, a 3.5mm combo audio socket. An SD card slot which is nice.
A non-reflective screen is normally more suitable for a long time of work, mainly for indoor lighting. mi comes with a 14-inch full-HD panel. The company makes claims regarding color accuracy for 178-degree viewing angles.
IF we talk about battery it has a battery of 46Wh capacity which Xiaomi says you can use for 10 hours, with this You get a 65W power adapter in the box, plus an external 720p webcam. The device also has firing stereo 2W speakers, & DTS audio enhancement also. for powerful 20w speaker check this product
